Yes, we recommend using a self custodial wallet and paying in bitcoin or over lightning for fast, secure, and more private payments. If you don't your own wallet, we set up Coinbase integration to make it easier for you but recommend going the more self sovereign route with wallet providers such as Blue Wallet, Muun, Sparrow for desktop, or any other great options where you control your private keys.

Atoms also accepts Ethereum as well as ERC-20 stablecoins such as DAI and USDC.

Next you will be redirected to a page that shows the four cryptocurrencies we accept if you want to use your own wallet or the ability to log in with Coinbase. Choose whichever method you prefer.

Then you will see the amount of cryptocurrency in US dollar equivalents along with the cryptocurrency address to send your payment to. You can copy and paste the address into the send field of your wallet or click the QR code button to send with your phone's wallet. Always verify the address you pasted or scanned is the same as the address listed on the site. Cryptocurrency payments are not reversible like credit card payments and Atoms will not be able to assist you if it is sent to the incorrect address.

As a final note, please make sure you are sending the correct cryptocurrency to the addresses listed above. Atoms accepts Bitcoin and Ethereum, not the subsequent forks of each chain such as Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum Classic. If you are going to use USDC, please ensure it is the ERC-20 version of the coin on Ethereum, not the stablecoin on other chains. If you send the incorrect cryptocurrency to the above addresses, Atoms will be unable to assist you in retrieving your lost funds.

You'll be directed to a page that looks like the one below with on-chain as well as lightning payments for Bitcoin. Switch the tab to Lightning to save on Bitcoin fees if you have a Lightning enabled wallet. You do not need to connect to our node first. All you need to do is scan the QR code or copy and paste the payment request.
